A FEW WORDS ABOUT SAFE SURFACE

Providing a suitable floor within the playground is extremely important because most injuries in playgrounds are caused by falls. For a maximum fall height of more than 1 m, one of the following materials is recommended:

Loose material

TYPES: sand, bark, wood shavings, shredded rubber or gravel

IMPORTANT INFORMATION The thickness of the layer should be 30 cm, unless the tests confirmed by a certificate indicate otherwise.

WHAT SHOULD BE REMEMBERED? Surfaces made of loose materials require regular checking of their appropriate level and supplementing any losses, however, due to the low cost of execution, they are very popular and willingly used.

Synthetic surface

TYPES: surface in the form of poured or in the form of rubber tiles

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Available in a wide range of colors, it does not pose any problems with current maintenance.

WHAT SHOULD BE REMEMBERED? You only need to take care of regular removal of rubbish from it, e.g. broken glass.

Artificial grass surface

IMPORTANT INFORMATION It is a solution cheaper than a synthetic surface.

WHAT SHOULD BE REMEMBERED? Unfortunately, this is not a "maintenance-free" surface, because its operation involves the costs of refilling, filling and systematic sweeping (using specialized tools).
